What information does hotRENT collect from their users?
We collect personally identifiable information (email address) from you when you set up an account with hotRENT. While you can browse our site without being a registered member, certain activities do require registration.
Our site's registration form requires landlords and property managers to give us contact information (name, address, phone number, and email address). We use this information to establish and/or verify your identity, notify you about communication from hotRENT renters, and enable hotRENT renters to view your property listing.
What does hotRENT use the personal information for?
We use your personal information to support the functionality on the site such as email communication, listing details and contact information. In addition, we use personal information to resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, help promote a safe service, measure consumer interest in our services, inform you about offers and services, and enforce our terms of use.
In our efforts to continually improve our product and service offerings, we collect and analyze demographic and profile data about our users' activity on our website.
Does hotRENT share personal information it receives?
hotRENT values your trust in us as a company to collect your information and we absolutely do not sell or share it with others. We share customer information only as described below.
Working with agents - We may employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples include fulfilling orders, delivering packages, sending postal mail and e-mail, providing marketing assistance and providing customer service. hotRENT provides all users with the opportunity to opt-out of receiving promotional and marketing-related communications from us on behalf of our partners, and from us in general, after setting up an account. Simply go to My Account and edit your account.
